About our school

Dawson Public School was established in 1972. The school places special emphasis on literacy and numeracy and provides many opportunities for students to participate in sport, creative and performing arts and leadership.

The school's mission statement was prepared in 1990 by the school community: We at Dawson Public School are committed to providing the highest quality education within a stimulating and stable environment so that we meet the needs of all students and the aspirations of the community.

Dawson P.S. utilises a PBL framework to promote a positive learning environment. In order to prepare our students of today to become leaders of tomorrow.
